Terms & Community Guidelines

Cheat Code Coaching is a communication and planning tool for youth sports teams. By creating an account or joining a team you agree to these terms. They exist so that team chat stays a safe, useful place for the adults on a team.

Who may use the app

Accounts are for adults: coaches, parents and guardians, and league administrators. You must be at least 18 to create an account. You are responsible for everything posted from your account.

What is not allowed

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Do not post or send:

Harassment, threats, bullying, or personal attacks against any player, parent, coach, or official.
Hate speech or slurs of any kind.
Sexual content, nudity, or anything inappropriate around children.
Photos of children other than in the normal course of team activity, or any photo a parent has asked you not to share.
Spam, scams, advertising, or links to malicious sites.
Another person's private information (addresses, phone numbers, medical details) without their permission.

Reporting and blocking

Report. Every message in team chat and direct messages has a ⋯ menu with a Report option. Reports go to the team's coaching staff immediately, as an urgent notification, and are reviewed within 24 hours. Coaches can delete any message on their team.
Block. The same menu lets you block a person. You will no longer see their messages anywhere in the app. Blocked people are listed under Blocked People in your account menu, where you can unblock them.
Filtering. Obvious profanity is masked automatically before a message is stored.

Enforcement

Content that breaks these guidelines is removed. Coaches may remove a parent from a team, and organization administrators may remove a coach. Repeat or serious violations result in the account being closed. Where the law requires it, we cooperate with law enforcement.

Your content

You own what you post. You give Cheat Code Coaching permission to store and show it to the members of the team it was posted to, which is what the service does. Roster, calendar, and practice-plan content entered by a coach belongs to that team.

Accounts

You can delete your account at any time from the account menu. Our Privacy Policy explains what is collected and what deletion removes.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will update the date above and note it in the app.
